About Squishy

My name is Squishy and I am an anomaly.

Currently a university student in Boston, Massachusetts, I have a tendency of accomplishing things in strange and unusual ways. I’m working toward a degree in Information Science, specializing in IT, and write fiction when the fancy strikes me. I am a logic fanatic, realistic optimist, and sarcastic snarkasaurus. I interrupt the mundane and inject insanity. Preferably while wearing blue socks.

This is where I make fun of life and the strange events that string it all together. From rants about school and work to ramblings about the world and all involved, I’m here to remind you to smile through anything because life is too wonderful to be grumpy.

Mostly though, I’m here to tell stories and to hear them in return. I’m here because I love meeting new people. I’m here because I want to meet you. This space is as much yours as it is mine, so go ahead and share your thoughts. Tell us your story.

If you wish to contact me, email me at t.grace506[at]gmail[dot]com or find me on Twitter @tehsquishy.

  1. Hello Ishani,

Thank you for commenting on my blog the way you had. Your comments were very forward and direct. I truly appreciate your words. I am very happy that you came across my blog, and hope that you comment on many more of my posts!

    Thanks again,
    Caleb A. Mertz

    • Hi Caleb,

I really hope my comments help you. I didn’t want to discourage you, but I also didn’t want you to go all the way to an agent or publisher and hear something much worse. I definitely suggest you take a look at some of the websites and blogs I have listed on my Resources page. They’ve taught me much about writing in the past year or so. Just don’t give up!

      Good luck and take care!

  2. Hi Ishana,

I came across your blog when you commented on my post (Thanks for that, btw!).

It will be very interesting to follow you on your journey to become a better writr. I wish you lots of luck both on your blog and your novels.

  3. Ishana,

Considering the fact that you were so great with your feedback on my possible synopsis (which were disguises as such with the intention of query letters) did I want to invite you to check out my latest query letter and lend me your thoughts. If you know of anyone else that may have great feedback please send them my way.

    Thank you,
    Caleb A. Mertz

  4. I like the new theme. Regulus was one of the themes I shuffled through in earlier iterations of my blog, and it’s just a really awesome theme. I feel like I said theme too many times.
